Probate in Kingman and Mohave County

If the person who died lived in Kingman, an Arizona probate will generally be handled in Mohave County. That matters because probate is not only a statewide process. The local court, filing procedures, available form packets, and filing methods can affect how the case moves forward.

Mohave County Superior Court provides dedicated probate materials for informal probate, formal probate, creditor claims, real-property affidavits, notices, inventory requirements, and estate closing procedures.

Rahnema Law helps families determine which probate procedure applies, prepare and manage required filings, address estate property and creditor issues, and move the estate toward distribution and closing.

Arizona Probate Training and Resources

Before selecting a packet, make sure you know which procedure applies to the estate. Informal probate, formal proceedings, small-estate procedures, and other filings have different requirements.

Can Mohave County Probate Documents Be Filed Electronically?

Mohave County participates in Arizona’s eFileAZ system for probate, but the current statewide availability chart lists probate eFiling in Mohave County for subsequent filings, rather than case initiation. The availability chart was last updated April 17, 2026, so current court instructions should be checked before filing.

Personal Representative Training

Before Letters can generally be issued to a non-licensed personal representative, Arizona requires completion of Supreme Court-approved fiduciary training. The required curriculum includes the general non-licensed fiduciary overview and the personal representative training module.

Mohave County’s probate materials also direct applicants to complete the required training and file the applicable certificates with the court.

Common Questions in a Kingman Probate

Do I need probate?

Probate may be necessary when property remained solely in the deceased person’s name and there is no beneficiary designation, survivorship arrangement, trust, or other method available to transfer it.

What happens after probate is opened?

Once a personal representative receives court authority, the estate moves into administration: identifying and protecting assets, maintaining records, addressing creditors and taxes, and preparing for eventual distribution and closing.

What should a personal representative do first?

The early weeks matter. Estate funds should be kept separate, property should be protected, records should be organized, and required notices and filings should be identified.

How are creditors handled?

Arizona has specific notice and claim procedures for estate creditors. Mohave County’s informal probate materials include Notice to Creditors forms and related publication and proof-of-notice documents.

What happens to the house, bank accounts, and other property?

When can beneficiaries receive property?

Help With Mohave County Probate Forms

Mohave County’s Law Library provides public access to probate-law resources, Arizona statutes and court rules, self-help forms and packets, and assistance obtaining available court forms.

Using court forms does not necessarily tell you which probate procedure is appropriate for a particular estate. When ownership, creditor claims, family disputes, real estate, or other complications are involved, legal guidance can help clarify the next step.

Rich and his team in Lake Havasu City are by far the best legal team I have ever worked with. I reached out to several law firms in big cities before finding Rahnema Law and no one wanted to spend the time to explain anything unless I paid them first. Rich personally called me back after my initial inquiry, listened to my concerns and quickly arranged an appointment. He walked me step by step through the probate process, explaining every form and requirement and never made me feel like a burden when I had more questions. Even when I was out of the country he continued to respond promptly to my emails and kept me informed. He provided letters, forms and instructions tailored to my situation and was always kind, professional and supportive. I highly recommend Rahnema Law to anyone going through probate; Rich took away the stress and uncertainty and gave me peace of mind.

Rich is beyond fantastic!! He bent over backwards to make time to see me on very short notice. I was in Arizona for an appointment with another attorney only to be told he was retiring. I live in Indiana and had made a three day drive for this! I was given Rich’s name and gave him a call. I was told the first appointment would be over a month away. I explained my situation and he was so kind, gracious and thoughtful that he made special arrangements to get me in and see him before I had to get back home. I was never so grateful, appreciative and relieved in my life. He was so considerate and kind; I never expected that from an attorney. He didn’t treat me like a faceless body; I was a person that needed help and he was there to give it. He made me feel so safe in his care. He has been exceptionally patient dealing with the issues that have plagued our probate process. I can’t give more than five stars, but if I could, I’d give him 100. I can’t encourage you enough to seek out his services if you need them!

I am a very satisfied client and I would definitely hire him again in the future.

A friend referred me to Rahnema Law to handle my probate situation. The probate process was clearly defined on roles and responsibilities and timeline. I could not be happier with the outcome and how professional Richard was in the entire process. Richard also handled another separate situation during that time acting as my attorney in an embezzlement case. I was blown away again by the professionalism and the eventual positive outcome. He could have charged me double of what he did charge for his services and it would have been fair with me. I highly recommend Richard Rahnema for more than just probate.
